The FN SCAR-L (L for Light) is an assault rifle chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO caliber designed and manufactured by the Belgian firearms manufacturer FN Herstal. The assault rifle 5.56mm FN SCAR-L has been specifically designed to offer users increased portability and adaptability. The FN SCAR-L is available with a 14.5″ barrel (standard) or 10” barrel (CQC). These barrels are interchangeable in less than five minutes with no impact on previously established zero or cyclic rate of fire. The effective range, depending on barrel length, is up to 400 meters.
